Beauty Empties #8!

Hello hello! I cannot believe how long it has been since I last blogged! Trying to get back on the blogging front!

Here are some recent beauty empties I've been using...

The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel

Every time I use this scent it reminds me of my holiday in Malaysia. Only because I was in Malaysia when I first used this range from the Body Shop. Don't you just love how scents can be attached to memories?

RMK Skintuner Smoother Moist in Chocolate Mint

This was part of a set that I got from RMK. It actually smells like mint chocolate which I like. However, they only do this in a travel size. This is not in their permanent range of products so be quick if you want to get your hands on it!

Bioderma Make-up Removing Micelle Solution

This product is really good for taking make up off! And it doesn't irritate my skin. However, I cannot take my waterproof mascara off with this.

L'Oreal Absolute Make-up Remover

This still remains my favourite eye and lip make up remover. Holy grail product.

Ok, that's all for today...more posts coming your way! Also, please excuse the poor (iPhone) quality pictures. I still cannot locate my camera charger unfortunately. Hope you all don't mind! Happy reading! And have a lovely day!

Beauty Empties #7!

The Face Shop Honey Real Nature Mask
Their masks are actually not bad! Nourishes the skin!

Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make-up Remover
I personally think that this is one of the best drugstore eye make-up removers. When it comes to eye-make up removers, I personally think that the drugstore ones work just as well as the higher end eye-make up removers.

Chloe Eau de Parfum
I am now onto my third bottle! I think it'll be one of those perfumes that I will use continuously for years. I just love how it's so feminine and elegant, yet it's not too light that it fades away.

Johnson's Be Fresh and Escape Shower Gel
This was so cheap! It was  £1! I have never seen a shower gel like such from Johnson's so I was curious. It smells lovely and is so affordable!

Beauty Empties #6!

L'occitane Cherry Princess Shower Cream
I was given this for Christmas! And I finally got round to using it! It smells really good. I would definitely recommend it! Leaves the skin feeling soft!

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant
This has become one of my holy grail products over the past year! This deodorant is the bomb.

Oilatum Intensive Anti-dandruff Shampoo
I have used Oilatum's treatment shampoos for many years now. It really has helped with my dandruff, and with controlling it.

Kerastase Bain Divalent Shampoo
My hair is extremely picky when it comes to shampoos. Therefore, I never know which ones to go for. However, my hair seems to get on with this Kerastase one! I am still currently using this. As it is a balancing shampoo I would only recommend it to those with oily hair, like myself!

Beauty Empties #5!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Time for more empties...

RMK Moisturising Body Oil
I actually really like this! Unlike many body oils, it isn't too oily and doesn't leave you feeling greasy. I did feel a difference in my skin after using it so I would definitely recommend.

CK IN 2 U Perfume
This used to be one of my favourite scents! However, it is quite overpowering so if you're not so keen on stronger scents, stay away.

Johnson's Baby 2 in 1 Bubble Bath and Wash
My skin has been quite sensitive lately so I decided to go back to basics. Love the scent and I've already repurchased it.

KORA Organics Purifying Day and Night Cream
I've finally used it all up! It's a great size for travelling as it's only 50ml and can be used as both a day and night cream. On most days I would usually use it as a day cream and use RMK's recovery gel in the evenings. I think the product is OK, but not something I would want to repurchase. I did not feel that it helped much with clarifying my skin.

Beauty Empties #4!

Wow! It has been a while since I was last on the blogging front! It's time to get back in to the swing of things, right?

Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make-up Remover
This has been a fairly new discovery for me. I think I might actually prefer it to my holy grail eye and lip make-up remover from L'Oreal! It's great for removing waterproof mascara! I definitely recommend it!

Omorovicza Cleansing Foam
This is the first time I've tried this brand. It was kind of a random buy. I was looking for a new facial cleanser after using up my previous one from Kora Organics and I came across this one online. It appeared to be a good seller online so I thought why not. I'm pleased that it hasn't broke me out and it doesn't have an overpowering scent. However, I wouldn't say it was the best cleanser I've ever used if I'm honest.

Oilatum Treatment Shampoo
A holy grail product of mine. I always try to use this at least once a week.

Dr Andrew Weil for Origins Dark Circle Minimizer
I was pulled in by the name of the product "dark circle minimizer." After using this almost every single day and night, I haven't really seen much of a difference sadly. I will not be purchasing this again.

Beauty Empties #3!

So here we go...more empties...

Molton Brown Gingerlily Body Wash
This smells so good! The scent reminds me of a luxurious hotel! I would definitely recommend the body washes from Molton Brown!

Batiste Original Dry Shampoo
I was gifted this dry shampoo. I have used Batiste dry shampoos for many years but I have never tried the original version. The mini ones are definitely great for travelling, and the product isn't too bad for the price I guess. However you have to be quite careful when using Batiste dry shampoos because they can leave a white residue behind.

L'Oreal Absolute Make-Up Remover
This is a holy-grail product for me. I have used it for many years and will continue to do so.

Garnier Oil-Infused Nourishing Scrub
This is gradually becoming a cult product for me too. I love the scent. It smells luxurious and so...nutty. It definitely helps remove those dead skin cells and is pleasant to use.

Beauty Empties #2!

Here we go again!

Kora Organics By Miranda Kerr Cream Cleanser

Initially I was going to repurchase the foaming cleanser that I had previously used but it was out of stock so I thought I'd give this one a try. Personally, I prefer the foaming cleanser from Kora Organics, as it is more suitable for oily skin. The cream cleanser is very gentle on the skin but I think it's more suitable for those with dry/sensitive skin. It also smells much better than the foaming cleanser!

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant

After hearing Youtubers comment on this deodorant I gave in and bought it. This is probably the best deodorant I've ever used. Now, that is a bold statement! However, it is a product that is slightly hard to get your hands on!

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes

A holy grail product that I've been using for years on end! And will continue to do so!

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion

Not only is this a great body lotion, it is also very affordable. It kept my skin moisturised for hours! I would definitely recommend it.

Beauty Empties #1.

So...I thought I would do quick reviews on my beauty empties on my blog rather than Instagram. What do you guys think?

MAC Brush Cleanser

I've been through a couple of bottles. It's effective but isn't the cheapest thing to use in the long run as I need a fair amount of product to get my make up brushes thoroughly clean. However, it is a good brush cleanser.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

After hearing a couple of Youtubers constantly raving about this hairspray I finally gave in! I did however decide to try out the travel size bottle first, just in case I wouldn't like it. Great product! I completely understand why Youtubers are constantly talking about this product. It is very expensive for a hairspray but it does the job and I would definitely repurchase.

Oilatum Intensive Anti-dandruff Shampoo

I could not find the normal version so I had to get the intensive version instead. First of all, it really is intensive! My scalp always feels really minty/tingly whilst using this. It is effective and is definitely worth purchasing!

The Body Shop Love Etc. Perfume

Every time I use this perfume it reminds me of Hong Kong! That is because on my first ever holiday to Hong Kong, I used this perfume through the entire trip so the scent definitely brings back memories. The perfume is quite strong and sweet, but it isn't overwhelming. I personally think that it's one of the best perfumes that The Body Shop produces.

Review: LOLA Marc Jacobs!

Excuse the bad picture quality! I seem to have misplaced my camera charger! Haha.

Anyway, back to Marc Jacobs, I have finally used up this Lola perfume! To be honest, it was kind of an impulse buy. I used to use the Daisy perfume from the brand, which I loved so I thought I would give this one a try too. The scent itself consists of many different notes which makes it slightly harder to explain. I would say that it has a floral yet musky scent, if that makes any sense! I personally think that this is one for the evenings, as it is quite feminine and sexy to some extent.

Marc Jacobs definitely comes out with the best packaging when it comes to perfumes! I remember getting this and being obsessed with the lid! It just looks so pretty and chic on the dressing table.

The staying power of the LOLA perfume is actually not too bad as it gives off a rather strong aroma. Whenever I wore the scent, people around me would notice it which was good. However, I don't think it's a perfume I would repurchase for myself as I personally think that it doesn't quite suit me. It wasn't a perfume that I would want to sniff all the time...but that is just my personal opinion! I much prefer the original Daisy perfume from Marc Jacobs!

Review: Christian Dior Creme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm.

After hearing so many good things about it online, I decided to treat myself to a lip balm from Dior a while ago. And I have finally finished using it! Therefore I can do a "proper" product review of it now.

First of all, I love the packaging of the product. It's simple yet chic. Dior know how to make their products look pretty and appealing! The product itself is not bad, but I've got to admit that I was a little disappointed as I was expecting an incredibly good lip balm after seeing so many good reviews. It is a good lip balm but it isn't one of those lip balms that makes an instant difference to your chapped lips. You have to constantly use to be able to see any changes.

I love the scent of the product. It has a very subtle hint of roses which I like. It isn't overpowering which I like. Whenever I use this lip balm, I do feel that my lips become slightly plumped which is great. There's something about this product that makes my lips look better than usual, without having to wear any lipstick etc.

This lip balm has lasted me for months on end so you definitely do get your money's worth. However,  I think I just expected a little more for the price. But I certainly do not regret purchasing it!

Another thing is that this product can be quite hard to find in shops! I recently tried to look for it in Selfridges as I wanted to buy it as a gift for my friend but apparently they no longer sell it. As far as I know, Debenhams still sell it if any of you guys are interested!

All in all, I would say that it is a lip balm worth trying, particularly if you like roses! However, don't expect too much!

Kora Organics by Miranda Kerr: Foaming Cleanser.

I was looking for a new facial wash and I fancied switching things up in my skincare routine. After some research, I decided to purchase this foaming cleanser from Miranda Kerr's own skincare brand. I'm not going to lie, her beautiful face kind of persuaded me to get it. I was also quite interested as it is classified as an organic product.

First of all, I am loving the tiffany blue packaging! Tiffany blue has gradually become one of my favourite colours! The product is very small compared to other facial cleansers that I've used (90ml). KORA does not sell any other sizes which is kind of annoying. The product works out to be a lot more expensive than other high end facial cleansers as you don't get much product.

I would say that the product is actually organic as it does not sting my eyes when I wash my face. This is a bonus as many other facial cleansers tend to sting my eyes when I accidentally get product around the eye area.

The product has been claimed to be effective on acne-prone skin. Although I did feel that the product was clarifying my skin, I did not feel that it kept the spots at bay. However, it didn't break me out either. I would definitely say that this product is for those with oily skin as it may be a little drying for those with drier skin. Surprisingly the product does not foam up that well although it is named a "foaming cleanser." However, this isn't a big deal although I do enjoy using cleansers that actually foam up. When I first used the product, the scent really did put me off. The product does not smell good at all, and this could be due to its organic properties. However, you do get used to it, even though I still find it unpleasant to smell until today! All in all, the foaming cleanser from KORA isn't  bad and it is a product that I wouldn't mind repurchasing. But...it is quite expensive in the long run and I think that there are cheaper facial cleansers out there on the market that may just be as good!

Review: RMK Cleansing Balm!

It's been a while since I was last on the blogging front! Haha. It's time to get back into the swing of things now!

I have finally used up this tub of RMK cleansing balm. I would definitely say it's a product worth investing in as you can get so many uses out of it. It has a pleasant rose scent which makes the whole make up removing process feel less of a chore. Like all RMK products, the ingredients used within this product are all natural. This has always been one of the reasons why RMK has become one of my favourite skincare brands over the years.

Normally, I would use an eye make up remover to remove any mascara/eyeliner and then go over my face with some facial wipes. Therefore, I use the RMK cleansing balm as a final step in the make up removing process. The product is great for getting rid off any foundation that the wipes may not have been able to remove, and it leaves the skin feeling soft. The RMK cleansing balm is a product that I would recommend to others, and certainly one that I may repurchase in the near future.
