August Favourites 2013!

Another month has been and gone...just like that!
August has always been my favourite month...and that's because my birthday is in August obviously! Haha.
Anyway, here are my August 2013 favourites!

1. Favourite scent: Hollister Malaia.

I love love love the smell of this perfume! It's simply...gorgeous! Don't you all just love the smell of Hollister shops? I wished my room smelled like their shops 24/7!

2. Favourite Drama: Triumph in the Skies 2 衝上雲霄II .

I'm so sad that this drama is coming to an end! I really like it! I feel so sorry for Jayden (Chi Lam) though! I really wanted Jayden and Holiday to be together...but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen! This drama is probably one of the best TVB dramas I've seen in a while! I love how there's quite a few big celebrities in this one!

3. Favourite Song: "I know" by Bii 畢書盡.

It is a sad song but I love it! It's on the soundtrack of "Love Around" which is a Taiwanese drama. Anyone else been watching it?
I must say Bii has a great voice. It's just so soothing!

4. Favourite Make-Up Item: Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara.

This was kind of an impulse buy! I had my eyes on it a very long time ago but I never thought that it was worth the price. After using it, I kind of do think that it's worth the price. It really does make applying mascara onto the bottom lashes so much easier. I have very short eyelashes like most Chinese girls and trust me, applying mascara using an ordinary brush/wand to your bottom lashes can be quite a mission. Also, it seems to be quite long lasting!

5. Favourite Skincare Product: RMK Firming Essence.

Okay, you're probably wondering why is she using a firming essence at her age...Well initially, I wanted to buy the brightening essence but the RMK counter in my area didn't have any in stock and I desperately wanted to try one out so the sales assistant suggested that I tried this one. I certainly don't regret buying it! It smells divine! It isn't often I find pleasant smelling skincare products.

6: Favourite Hair Product: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor.

I love this stuff! I always feel like pampering my hair but I can never be bothered with those 10-15 minute hair masks. I'm just too impatient, hence why I think this product is great! It's affordable which is a bonus too!

7: Favourite Food: Strawberry Split.

I'm addicted to these! One of my all time favourites! For anyone living outside the UK who don't know what these are...these are strawberry ice-lollies which have vanilla ice-cream in them! So good!

8. Favourite Celebrity: George Hu 胡宇威 .

Obviously LeeHom Wang is my all time favourite but I thought I'd spice things up on here! George Hu is just so adorable...and hot of course! I love his acting! And I love his dimples! Haha. I can't wait for Sunday's episode of Love Around!

September's here already...Wow, just wow. Hope it's a pleasant month for all of you! MWAH! XOXO

Alpha-H Liquid Gold!

After seeing Youtubers rave about this particular product, I thought it was time to get my hands on one! It was my first time using an Alpha-H product, and I was kind of worried seeing as it has "glycolic acid" in it. I must admit, the word "acid" freaked me out at first. However I did a bit of research online and discovered that it actually comes from sugar cane. Also, many say that it makes your skin look better from the very first use so I was extremely tempted to give it a try. Does it live up to the hype? I would say so. This is a skin treatment that you would use on alternate nights. Whenever I used it, I would be extremely excited to see what my skin would like in the morning. It does make your skin look good in the morning, however, I wasn't exactly...WOW-ed. Whilst using this, I realised that I wasn't breaking out as much too. I'm not actually sure whether it was this particular product that was keeping the spots at bay or whether it was other stuff. It is more on the pricey side but personally I would say that it is worth it and it does last for a bit. All in all, a good product.

E45 Dry Scalp Shampoo!

I've always been a big fan of the Oilatum treatment shampoo but I just can't seem to find it ANYWHERE, which is slightly annoying me! I've looked for it in so many supermarkets/shops but it's nowhere to be seen. I wonder whether they've just stopped producing it. Anyway, I decided to give this shampoo a try instead to see if it was any good. I would say that it does the job and reduces dandruff. I wouldn't say it completely gets rid off it but it certainly does help. Also, I like how it is perfume free. However it does have a particular smell to it, but it doesn't bother me. One thing I've also realised is that it takes more than a normal shampoo to lather up and rinse out. Apart from that, this shampoo is actually not too bad. I would say it's worth a try.

First Aid Beauty (FAB) Facial Radiance Pads!

I've just finished my second tub of FAB's facial radiance pads. Although I find the smell a little weird, I personally think that the product is quite good. It pretty much does what it says on the label. I did feel that these pads exfoliated and toned my skin. I wouldn't say that it reduced my visible pores much but I guess it did improve the clarity of my skin. However, I still had my "spotty" days, but I assume that is normal for people my age. It was my first time using a First Aid Beauty product and I was pleased overall. My skin can be quite picky when it comes to toners and it seemed to like this one, to some extent. One feature that encouraged me to get this product was that it's alcohol-free. I would definitely say that it's safe for those with sensitive skin. Also, I love how the pads are already soaked. It saves me from having to pour a toner onto a cotton pad which saves me time in the morning, and is simply great for lazy people like myself.

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara!

It isn't often that I use up a whole tube of mascara! I actually really liked this mascara and I would definitely consider buying another one in future. It's great for those with really really short eyelashes, like myself. They don't make my eyelashes appear that much longer but I do feel that it helps open up the eye(s). Also, I like how it is waterproof. It actually doesn't smudge easily. I personally prefer using waterproof mascaras as I have really oily eyelids. My eyes tend to get teary quite often too. All in all, a good drugstore mascara. It's worth it.

June FAVOURITES!

I've been busy working lately so I haven't been blogging as much as I would have liked to. Anyhow, I've decided to stay up and do this blog post about my June favourites!

1. Favourite Drama: A Change Of Heart (好心作怪).

I'm currently watching this! I just finished watching episode 20! I'm a huge drama addict so as soon as this was out I was like "OH YEAH, I'm watching this!" How could one not when Bosco Wong and Niki Chow are the main leads?! And may I just say that Niki Chow is really pretty! I would say that she's one of the best looking actresses in Hong Kong! I really hope that this drama has a good ending and that the two, Bosco and Niki, end up together. On the other hand, so far, so good.

2. Favourite Iphone Application: WeChat.

May I just say whoever came up with this application is a genius! It makes talking so much fun...and convenient! However, I find it hilarious how everyone speaks like a robot when using this application.

3. Favourite Skincare Product: RMK cotton pads.

I've never really been into using "expensive" cotton pads as I never saw the point in wasting money on something that you'd throw away instantly. I'd usually go for the double faced cotton pads from Boots. However, I decided to go all out and buy a box of the RMK cotton pads after trying out a sample which I was given with previous purchases. I must say that they're actually pretty good and in a way, I actually do think that they're worth it.

4. Favourite Make-up Item: Benefit's Benetint.

I'm in love with this product yet again. It's amazing for summer as I don't tend to wear as much make-up during the summer due to hayfever, which sucks. I love how this tint can be used both on the cheeks and lips which is a win win for me. I just love products which can do more than just one thing. I also love how it's natural looking and buildable too.

5. Favourite Scent: Hollister Malaia.

This has become one of my favourite perfumes. I could smell this all day long. It's amazing. Even my mother likes it!

6. Favourite Hair Product: Head and Shoulders Apple Fresh Shampoo.

This shampoo smells lovely! I really like how Head and Shoulders are being more creative these days and coming out with all sorts of shampoos to satisfy various needs.

7. Favourite song: 我的歌声里 (You Exist In My Song) by Wanting (曲婉婷).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0dMz8RBG7g&feature=share&list=FLy89Do8JCErrZiSJLyNMUlA

My friends and I have fallen in love with this song. I've probably listened to it around a hundred times within the past two months. It's so addictive. Love her voice.

8. Favourite Food/Fruit: Watermelon.

It's watermelon season! Yay! I love love love watermelons! I do miss being in Asia and being able to drink watermelon juice on a daily basis!

What are/were your June favourites?

When a Man Loves...

I haven't been watching many Korean dramas lately but as soon as I heard that Song Seung Hun and Shin Se Kyung were going to be in one, I knew I just had to watch it. Coincidentally, the male lead of My Princess, was paired up with the female lead of Fashion King, and vice versa. Has anyone watched Kim Tae Hee's new drama yet?

This drama is simply about a man who has had a rough childhood, and falls in love with someone who is much younger than him. A love square appears which makes everything more complicated.

One GOOD LOOKING cast! :D

Good acting!

A bit of eye candy for you all! Haha!

I must admit that there were quite a few parts of the drama that I did skip as I only wanted to watch Song Seung Hun and Shin Se Kyung. However, I must say that the second male and female lead (Yeon Woo-Jin and Chae Jung-Ahn) acted well. May I just say that Chae Jung-Ahn is really pretty! I loved her outfits and style throughout this drama...Classy and chic! Overall, the drama had an interesting story line and it was pleasant to watch. I would say that the drama had a happy ending but I would have liked to see more of Song Seung Hun and Shin Se Kyung towards the end of the drama.

Are there any Korean dramas that you would recommend?

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish!

I've been through several tubes of this on various occasions. I love the scent of it, as I do love my strawberries. It exfoliates the skin gently, however, I wouldn't expect drastic results if I were you. This product is gentle enough to be used more than once/twice per week in my opinion. My dear mother sneakily used mine and she liked it! She kept on mentioning how it made the back of her arms feel a lot smoother. The product's worth a try.

Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic!

This was kind of an impulse buy. I was on the look out for a new toner and the first brand I came across in Boots was Liz Earle. First of all, I love the packaging. It's simple, yet pretty. I also like how its cap can be twisted, which is unusual for a toner. The toner itself smells really pleasant and I did feel that it soothed my skin. If you're looking for a "gentle" toner, this may be the one for you.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Luscious Long Deep Treatment!

I've finally finished using this! I bought it ages ago but I kind of neglected it. After using it for the past two months or so, I actually like it. I decided to buy the newer version of this hair treatment. One thing I like about it is that you don't have to leave it on your hair for around 10 minutes like you do with most hair treatments. 3 minutes and voila, your hair is left nice and smooth! You could leave it on for less than 3 minutes even, depending on how dry your hair is. It does the job and it's inexpensive! A win win!
